I absolutely love it when families incorporate something really personal into their photoshoot that helps tell their story. The McAulay family has owned their piece of land in Huntersville for generations, so they wanted to do their first family photoshoot there to celebrate what that place means to them. It made for a gorgeous backdrop as we wandered around, explored nature, and they shared with me all about their family’s connection to the land.
It was also their first photoshoot with their son, who was about to turn 1. He started off a little camera shy, but by the end of the session, we were all having a blast! We played in the trees, looked at all the flowers, ran through the tall grass, and splashed in the creek. It was clear that this place was very special to the McAulays and I was honored to help them capture this time and place that is so precious to them.
Thanks again to the McAulay family for sharing your story with me!
